Gear, favorite instruments? Larrivee D-9 Cutaway is my main guitar.  a custom made, 28 string, double neck
harp guitar called "The Dreamcaster" that was built in Madison Ohio by luthier Patrick Podpadec, and a 1971
Les Paul Deluxe.

Influences?  Phil Keaggy, Pete Townsend, Steve Hackett, Steve Howe, Leo Kotke, Michael Hedges,
Beethoven, Lennon & McCartney, Mozart, Will Ackerman, George Winston, Joni Mitchell.










When was your first gig, and were you paid for it?  Lakewood YMCA, 1970, and no.  

What is your favorite piece of music to perform and why? At the moment, most stuff off Tree Of Life.  It
reaches into the core of who I am.  

Favorite venue to play?  Akron Civic, Kent Stage, Severance Hall, Canterbury Coffee, The Mustard Seed
(especially on Sundays), Winery at Wolf Creek, Chalet Debonne.  Everywhere I play, I like.

Who would you like to perform with?  Phil Keaggy.  

Artist you really like to listen to? Beethoven.  

New artist you admire? Radiohead (that’s as new as I get)

What were your first three albums ever owned?  Peter, Paul & Mary, The Brothers Four, The Beatles Second
Album.

Cleveland Orchestra, Beethoven’s Sixth, Stravinskys Firebird Suite.

What do you do in your day job?  I play guitar full time.  

Most tiresome request while playing out? Any request for a song that I wasn’t planning on doing anyway.  

Most unusual request while playing out? To play naked at Starwood.

Favorite beverage at a gig? Cranberry juice at a bar, coffee or spring water at a restaurant.  I don’t drink
alcohol at all.  

Name two songs you’d love to see on your “To Learn” list: Songs that I’ve recorded and forgotten how to
play.  

What is your advice to up-and-coming musicians?  Be professional.
