Talk about your gear, favorite instruments, why you like or use certain things.  I have a Martin DM
acoustic which is my main axe. It's very pure and real sounding.

Age you started playing?  7

When was your first gig? 15, at a wedding.  

Influences? Stones, Floyd, Beatles, Dead, Neil Young and most singer/ songwriters.

Favorite local artist? Colin Dussault and Walkin' Cane.

Favorite venue to play? Blossom Music Center.

Who would you like to perform with?  The Rolling Stones (the greatest rock band EVER).

Music you really like to listen to? Folk and Bluegrass.

What bands today could you see being around in 25 years? Jim & Eroc (the acoustic duo).

Five CDs you can’t live without? Goats Head Soup, The Samples, Harvest, Meddle.

Most embarrassing thing in your CD collection? Barry Manilow.
















Who is your hero? My dad.

What’s in your CD player right now? Anyone Can Dance (children's CD I wrote).  

First cut on your dream mix CD? Memory Motel (Rolling Stones).

What do you do in your day job? Latex application specialist.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I like Happy Hour.

Most unusual request while playing out? I Will Survive.

Most tiresome request while playing out? Brown Eyed Girl.

If you went to hell, what song would be played over and over? Free Bird.

What is your advice to up-and-coming musicians? Be yourself and you'll always be marketable.

The eighth installment of Spotlight features Jim Tigue, guitarist, vocalist, performer,
songwriter and a prominent member of the Cleveland music scene for well over a
decade.  Jim is such a fun guy on and off the stage.  He also holds the honorary title of
being the first outside "venture capitalist" here at After the Gig.  Be sure to check him
out at one of his many upcoming gigs!
How did you end up in your current band? After
running bands for years I went solo to make it less stressful.

What instruments do you play? Guitar, piano, bass
fiddle with the banjo.

Why did you choose this instrument? I received a guitar
for my First Communion.
Favorite movies? The Deer Hunter, One Flew Over
the Cuckoos' Nest.

Favorite television shows? Family Guy and old
M.A.S.H.'s.

Your last meal on earth? Steak and potatoes.

Do you collect anything?  Junk and stuff I don't
need.
